Laser Vision Correction

100% DEDICATED TO LASER VISION CORRECTION Our Cornell, Columbia, and Harvard-trained surgeons are dedicated 100% to laser vision correction.

PIONEER Manhattan LASIK Center is the first LASIK Center in the Northeast to offer the most advanced Zeiss VisuMax Femtosecond Laser to treat nearsightedness, farsightedness, and Astigmatism in four different Locations in the NY tri-state area. Manhattan LASIK Center was also the first center in the Northeast to offer the most advanced ZEISS SMILE procedure.

ULTRA-THIN FLAPS Our surgeons create the world’s thinnest 80 micron LASIK flaps. This leaves the cornea stronger, produces better visual results, and significantly reduces the chance of developing post-operative dryness.

EXPERTISE The Most Experienced LASIK and SMILE Center in the Nation with 100,000+ successful LASIK procedures and 10,000+ SMILE procedures.

ZEISS SMILE

Corrects Nearsightedness, Astigmatism

SMILE, also known as ZEISS SMILE, stands for Small Incision Lenticule Extraction. Only performed at a few laser eye surgery centers across the United States, SMILE is one of the most advanced and recent vision correction procedures. In other words, SMILE is the world’s safest and most precise and minimally invasive laser vision correction technique and technology.

Without ablation, without a flap, the SMILE treatment is a single-step procedure to improve nearsightedness and astigmatism. The Zeiss VisuMax Femtosecond Laser is used to perform the procedure. It is not only as effective and predictable as earlier forms of laser eye surgery but also provides safety and stability that is superior to them.

Ultra-Thin Flap Bladeless LASIK with ZEISS Visumax Laser

 Corrects Nearsightedness, Astigmatism

Bladeless LASIK, also known as All-Laser LASIK, is an advanced version of the Traditional LASIK Procedure in which a femtosecond laser is used to create the flap on the cornea instead of a microkeratome blade. Manhattan LASIK Center uses the most advanced ZEISS VisuMax Femtosecond Laser. The groundbreaking VisuMax laser system employs high-performance femtosecond laser technology and is characterized by its outstanding flap-making precision, unsurpassed speed, and gentle treatment technique.

The result is brilliant visual control, maximum comfort, shorter treatment times, customized corneal flap, better visual results, and a significantly reduced chance of developing postoperative dryness.

Visian ICL

 Corrects Nearsightedness, Astigmatism

Visian ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) is a soft flexible lens that is placed in the eye to correct a person’s vision, reducing dependency on glasses or contact lenses. While traditional contact lenses go on the surface of the eye, the Visian ICL is positioned in the eye between the iris (the colored part of the eye) and the natural lens. One of the important advantages of the Visian ICL is that while it can permanently correct your vision, the lens can be simply removed and/or replaced if necessary. Visian ICL is an especially great choice for patients who may not be candidates for other forms of laser vision correction due to thin corneas, dry eyes, and high myopia.

LASEK, Epi-LASIK, PRK

 Corrects Nearsightedness, Farsightedness, Astigmatism

Also known as Advanced Surface Treatment, these procedures have the following in common: Only a very thin layer of the epithelial flap is scraped off the surface of the cornea, which will heal back over the next 3 to 4 days. Thus the recovery time is delayed by several days compared to LASIK or ZEISS SMILE. These procedures are typically performed in cases where the cornea is not thick enough for LASIK or ZEISS SMILE. The same accurate lasers are used to reshape the surface of the eye. Therefore, the achieved end result is the same as LASIK or ZEISS SMILE.

Contoura Vision Topography-guided LASIK

 Corrects Nearsightedness, Farsightedness, Astigmatism

Contoura LASIK, also known as topography-guided LASIK, uses its advanced technology to provide surgeons detailed data regarding the unique characteristics of each person’s eyes. Using this data, a customized treatment plan is created for each individual patient, resulting in a bladeless LASIK treatment that accurately and precisely corrects both the shape of the patient’s eye and the surface texture of the cornea.

Monovision

 Corrects Presbyopic Nearsightedness, Farsightedness

Monovision, also known as blended vision, is a surgical option to help reduce a presbyopic person’s dependency on reading glasses. Our doctors at Manhattan LASIK Center typically correct the dominant eye for distance, while the other eye is left slightly nearsighted, to allow for near/reading vision. This allows the eyes to work together to help maintain reading vision, consequently reducing the dependence on reading glasses.
